Additional Classroom Inaugurated at Tripura Sports School

Agartala, September 9,2026: A programme was organised on Tuesday at the Tripura Sports School in Panisagar to inaugurate an additional classroom and host the State-Level School Sports Competition 2026–27 . Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy was present at the programme. The event also featured Judo competitions in the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls, with young athletes from different parts of the state participating.

The initiative aimed to strengthen both educational and sporting infrastructure at the institution. The addition of the new classroom is expected to provide students with improved academic facilities while supporting their overall development. The state-level competition provided a platform for young judokas to showcase their talent, gain competitive experience and pursue their sporting ambitions. The organisers emphasised the importance of combining quality education with sports for building a confident and disciplined younger generation.
