Dhanpur MLA Celebrates Rakhi Bandhan with School Students

Kathalia, August 29,2026: On the occasion of Rakhi Bandhan Purnima and the Rakhi Bandhan festival, Dhanpur MLA Bindu Debnath, along with BJP party workers, visited the girls’ hostel of Thalibari Class XII School under Kathalia RD Block. The MLA organised a special programme with the girl students residing in the hostel. Addressing the gathering, Debnath said that Rakhi Bandhan symbolises unity, harmony and a strong bond among different communities. He also spoke at length about the significance of the festival and its role in promoting social harmony. Following the discussion, the MLA personally tied rakhis on the hands of the schoolgirls. Earlier on the same day, he had organised another Rakhi Bandhan programme at the BSF camp in Dhanpur.
