Flag Adoption Day Observed in Kailashahar

Agartala, September 1,2026: A National Flag Adoption Day Observation-cum-Awareness and Disaster Management Programme was organised at Unakoti Kala Kshetra, Kailashahar, on August 31, 2026, by Youth for Social Development (YSD), a My Bharat-affiliated organisation, in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Administration, Kailashahar. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Chapla Rani Deb Roy, Chairperson of Kailashahar Municipal Council. Shri Curzon Halam, Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Collector, Kailashahar, attended as the Special Guest, along with Shri Mati Ranjan Debbarma, DCM, Kailashahar, and Shri Ratnadwip Das, DCM. The Civil Defence Corps participated and conducted an awareness session on disaster preparedness, emergency response, and the proper use of disaster-management equipment. Personnel demonstrated emergency equipment and explained preparedness measures for disaster response. The programme aimed to promote respect for the National Flag, awareness of the Flag Code of India, 2002, and a culture of disaster preparedness and community resilience among participants.
