Four Tripura Students to Meet President on Raksha Bandhan

Agartala, 27th August, 2026: Four school students from Tripura will get a special opportunity to meet President Droupadi Murmu during a Raksha Bandhan celebration at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 28. A seven-member delegation from the state reached New Delhi on Wednesday. Led by OSD Abhijit Samajpati, the delegation includes teachers Biswajit Bhowmik and Biplab Deb and four students—Meheresia Sarkar, Pratik Sarkar, Rike Deb and Amit Kumar Sarkar. The students, aged 10 to 11, study at Netajinagar English Medium SB School in West Tripura. They will also showcase Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and diversity at the special event.
