Security Arrangements Reviewed for Village Committee Elections

Agartala, September 14, 2026: A review meeting on security arrangements for the General Election to the Village Committees, 2026, was held through Video Conferencing (VC) mode under the chairmanship of the State Election Commissioner of Tripura. The meeting reviewed election preparedness, polling duty arrangements and security-related issues for the forthcoming elections. District Election Officers, including DMs and Collectors, and Superintendents of Police from the concerned districts participated from their respective district headquarters. The officials discussed security measures and preparedness to ensure the smooth, peaceful and transparent conduct of the Village Committee General Elections across the state.
