Three Seriously Injured in Early Morning Tragic Road Accident

Teliamura,August 29, 2026:Three people were injured in a serious road accident on Saturday morning along the Assam-Agartala National Highway near the Bankumari Temple area in Teliamura’s Baramura hills. According to reports, a Suzuki Maruti car carrying several passengers was travelling from Agartala towards Teliamura when it collided head-on with a Tripper coming from the opposite direction. Two women and 62-year-old Nirmal Chandra Das sustained injuries in the accident. The two women are reportedly employees of the Education Department posted in Kalyanpur. Fire and Emergency Services personnel from Teliamura rushed to the spot, rescued the injured and shifted them to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. After initial treatment, the two women were discharged, while Nirmal Chandra Das was admitted in serious condition. He may be referred to GB Hospital, Agartala for advanced treatment.
